HTC: results up sharply on the end of 2010

HTC has announced that its net income had more than doubled in the fourth quarter of 2010 thanks to the success of its smartphones equipped with the Android operating system.
Currently No. 4 on the smartphone market, HTC harvest the fruit of his efforts and in particular its repositioning on Android smartphones.

In the last quarter of 2010, turnover amounted to 2.7 billion euros, against 1.07 billion the same period last year. Net income is meanwhile stood at 14.6 billion Taiwan dollars (381 million), up 163% over 2009!

It must be said that the last months of the year have been particularly good to HTC who has completed nearly 60% of its turnover in the last quarter. Result: the year 2010, operating profit rose from 590 million euros in 2009 to 1.03 billion euros, an increase of 74%.

HTC today ranks as number 1 on Windows 7 Phone, but is most active at the front of the Android phones are expected to grow strongly this year.
